In October 2023 we sponsored the Dashain festival for the children of Hopeful Home. Dashain is the most important Hindu festival of the year, where families come together for making offerings, good food and enjoy being together. The festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil.

Ram and Gopini shopped together to stock up on groceries for the party. The children received new clothes, which made them very happy. During the festival, offerings are made to the goddess Durga and afterwards a delicious meal is served.

We bought goat meat, rice, spices, cooking oil, and coke, as well as shampoo, hair brushes, soap, and more. We also stocked up on 23 colorful sheets for the beds.
