The Chakersur Primary School is located in the village of Budhasing in the Nuwakot district, about a three to four hour drive north of the capital Kathmandu. The school consists of four classes and has approximately 85 students. The government pays the monthly salary of one teacher and the remaining three teachers receive a salary, which is paid for by the villagers themselves. Textbooks are provided by the government.

After our first visit to the school in 2007, we returned the year after and supplied materials for a water tank and water pipe. The water pipe was installed by the teachers. Since then, we have regurlarly supported the children by providing clothing and writing materials. For example, in 2013 we brought tracksuits, sandals, toothbrushes and writing materials. During this campaign we were also able to support a second school in the same area.

After the earthquake in 2015, a large part of the school was severely damaged and it was no longer safe to teach the building. Laxmi Support helped with materials for an emergency building. Three years later, in 2018, the school received money from the government to rebuild the school, which was finalised a year later. Find below all projects for this school:
