Saraswoti Lower Secondary School is located in the village of Newarpani in the Nuwakot district. There are six teachers teaching at this school and the number of students is around 144. The salary of three teachers is paid by the government and the salary of two teachers is sponsored by the local forestry organization. The salary of the sixth teacher is paid by the school itself. Sometimes the school earns some extra money by selling pine wood.
After the earthquake of 2015, we supported affected families in Newarpani by providing corrugated iron to repair houses or set up temporary shelters. The school building itself was severely damaged but has since been rebuilt with the help of government sponsorship.
