This project included the following schools:
Chakreswori Basic School
Annapurna Basic School
Dhadakharka Primary School
It can be quite cold in the hills of Nepal from November to March. There is no central heating in the houses and schools; this means that the classrooms are very chilly. Walking to and from school can also be very cold. That is why we have decided to distribute warm winter coats to the students of three primary schools in the Nuwakot district. The children were very happy with this support.

In total we gave black coats, school notebooks, pencils, erasers and pencil sharpeners to 107 children. Ram Thapa also distributed 576 notebooks, hundreds of pencils, erasers and pencil sharpeners.
We hired a 4×4 jeep with driver for the day to transport all the items to the schools. The first stop was at the Chakreswori Basic School where Ram distributed the materials to 85 students. Our foundation has supported this school since 2007. We are delighted to be able to return and meet the teachers and students again.

The next stop was at the Annapurna Basic School. We support this school since 2015. It is a small school with only eleven students. The children come from families from the lowest caste in society.

The last stop was at Dhadakharka Primary School. This is also a small school with 15 students. It was our first visit to this school and there is a good chance that we will also involve this school in our long-term support projects.

A big thank you goes to all our sponsors! We cannot carry out this project without your help. It’s difficult to describe the joy of the children and their families, but we can assure you that the gratitude is enormous. Big thanks also to Manoj Wosti, and the employees of the sewing workshop for working so hard to finalise the coats, and Ram Thapa, for once again successfully finalising the project.
